CHUFY LAUNCHES AUCTION TO RAISE FUNDS FOR DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS
We are helping the charity during the COVID-19 crisis and beyond.
With our Founder Sofia Sanchez de Betak have launched a fundraising campaign to support the charitable organization Doctors Without Borders. The brand is working to support the charity in both its fight against the global COVID-19 pandemic, and with its long- term humanitarian missions which the virus has exacerbated.
Visitors can bid for unique artworks, experiences and limited-edition luxury products, courtesy of Sofia’s close friends and partners.
“When you read shocking statistics like the 5.3 million children under the age of 5 who died of malnutrition in 2018, and then see the situation getting even worse with the arrival of the Coronavirus, you tell yourself you can’t just sit at home and be scared. You have to get up and try to do something.” explains Sofia Sanchez de Betak.
Items auctioned include a Valentino Garavani Supervee shoulder bag by Maison Valentino, a rose gold double Repossi ring, RIMOWA x Dior handcase, unique signed sketch by Alber Elbaz, Byredo blueprint bag courtesy of Ben Gorham, a Fabien Baron print, a tennis racket signed by Maria Sharapova, a Norman Reedus self-portrait courtesy of the actor and his partner Diane Kruger, and a limited edition Pirate agent from the studio M/M Paris exhibition L’île au Trésor, and Sofia’s MET 2019 red carpet dress from Mango, among others.
Amazing experiences during and post quarantine period are also included in the auction, such as an Instagram live session with Leandra Medine - this can be a private chat, coffee, drink or professional consulting meeting.
Other unique experiences include a private tour of Polo player Nacho Figueras’ stables, a bespoke artwork by Andre Saraiva made live in your home, an intimate dinner for 8 guests by renowned chef Yann Nury, a front row ticket to the Jacquemus SS21 catwalk show, and a private DJ set by The Misshapes at your chosen private party in NYC.
