About Our Auction
Welcome! Your bids make a difference! The auction raises critical monies for the Nicholas Missere Bursary Fund and AlgomaTrad programming.
Click on the green “View All Items” button. When you see something you like, there are two ways to bid:
EXACT BID: decide how much you want to bid for a ONE TIME bid, and enter that amount. If someone outbids you, you will get an email notice and you can come back to bid again.
PROXY BID: You decide the highest amount you are willing to pay for an item you want, and enter that amount in the proxy bid. The computer will enter the LOWEST bid possible to keep you the winning bidder. If someone outbids you, the computer will raise your bid by the lowest amount allowed in order to keep you the winning bidder. If your bid reaches the highest limit you specified and someone outbids you, you will get an email alert so you can decide if you want to come back to bid again or to create a new proxy amount. This is a great way to keep current with the bidding without interruptions while you are busy having fun!
Whichever way you choose to bid, you will get an email or a text (depending on how you registered) to tell you if someone has outbid you -- oh no!
EXTENDED BIDDING: If a specific item receives a bid during the final 3 minutes of the auction, the bidding time for that item will be extended for 3 minutes to allow additional bidding. If the item gets another bid within that 3 minutes, then bidding will be extended for an additional 3 minutes. This process repeats until no new bids are received for that item during a 3 minute period OR for a maximum of 30 minutes.
At the end of the auction, winners will receive an email from the auction site and, if necessary, further instructions from AlgomaTrad.
You can pay for your winnings by cheque or e-transfer. If you are in-person at the AlgomaTrad Centre, you may pay by credit card.
THE AUCTION ENDS FRIDAY, AUGUST 16th at 10:00 PM, so get your bids in before then!
Immense thanks to our generous and talented donors, and a huge thank you to all you great bidders! Your support is deeply appreciated. Together we can help AlgomaTrad shine.
Happy bidding and good luck!
