Virtual Guatemala Mission Auction

Covenant Presbyterian Church holds the Guatemala Mission Auction annually with an in-person silent auction format to raise funds for student scholarships in the Santo Domingo region of Guatemala. Due to safety concerns this year regarding Covid-19, Covenant is conducting this year's auction in a virtual format.

Covenant supports students at four levels of education. Average scholarships given last year were $60 Pre-Primary and Primary, $170 Basico (middle school), $450 Vocational High School, and $650 University. Students need funds for school registration, uniforms for classroom and physical education, school supplies including books, internet, transportation, computer rental, etc. The Monte Hebron Presbyterian Church Education Committee in Santo Domingo receives applications for scholarship support and chooses the students to receive scholarships. At the end of each school year, the Education Committee provides Covenant with information about each student and the funds supplied to each.
