Julius Bayles Showcase

Julius Bayles is from Columbus Indiana. Julius began his metal art at the age of 89 and has completed over 50 pieces in 1 year. He is inspired by God, his family, his faith and his love for others.
Julius began his small art shop at Just Friends Adult Day center after being inspired by a gear and metal art project that was offered as an activity. The activity assistants fueled his focus by collecting and providing all types of wire and metal for Julius to experiment with and to create new 2-D vingettes.
Julius battles a debilitating hand tremor and a painful facial neuralgia but focuses on the beauty that is revealed from God and the joy that people have when seeing his custom creations that he gives away.
Julius has done commissioned commemorative artwork for community members and seeks to provide his artwork to anyone who will enjoy it.
Julius Bayles and his beautiful wife Theresa celebrated 62 years of marriage. Julius has chosen to dedicate this show to her memory.

Just Friends is a safe and engaging place for older adults. We provide day services of memory care, physical exercise, engagement clubs, community celebrations and education.
Just Friends also provides balance for caregivers and helps families stay together in homes through support services and counsel on a range of aging well topics.
Just Friends is a non-profit and relies on funding from donors like you to make it possible for all community members to fully participate and enjoy our activity center.
