About Our Auction

Welcome to our 2nd annual online auction! This is the main fundraising effort organized by the Friends of Paul Smith Library, a group of volunteers supporting children and adult programming at Paul Smith Library of Southern York County, Shrewsbury.

Auction bidding will open on June 4. New items will be added through June 3.

Local merchants and services have been generous donors to the auction, and the Friends of the Paul Smith Library hope you will be generous and enthusiastic in your bidding!

What type of programs do the Friends support?
Hundreds of children participate in Paul Smith Library’s summer learning program, SummerQuest. Families have access to a variety of free events, programs, and resources that encourage and inspire children of all ages to continue learning, even when school is not in session.


About Friends of the Paul Smith Library

Paul Smith Library provides free, inclusive programs and resources available to anyone in the community. Last year, over 45,000 people attended programs at Paul Smith Library. We are dedicated to strengthening our community and enriching individual lives.

The Friends of the Paul Smith Library are youth and adult volunteers who support the library through programs, events and fundraisers. The Friends primarily raise funds to support library programs and to help the library purchase items that aren't in the budget. The Friends of the Paul Smith Library often may be seen at Truck Zoo, New Freedom Fall Fest and even helping patrons to check out books.

The Friends also award an annual scholarship on behalf of the Paul Smith Library of Southern York County to a graduating high school senior who has been a library volunteer and who resides in Southern York County School District.
