Player Sponsors 2020/ 2021 Season

To all of our sponsors, supporters and friends, following on from the Covid 19 pandemic we have been unable to hold our Annual Sponsors Evening.

So this year for the first time we will be holding an auction online to give Businesses, Family and Friends the opportunity to bid for their favourite players and support them for the 2020/ 2021 season in National 1.

This is the highest level the club has ever been and we are really looking forward to getting started.

As a club we have avoided going down the route of a ‘Just Giving’ page during the pandemic, but we do now require your support to sustain Taunton Titans in this league and we are calling upon anyone who might be in a position to help support us, however big or small, as we look towards the 20/21 season!

By sponsoring a player, you are not just supporting the players but supporting our club to continue to compete at this high level.

If you have the winning bid for a player, you will have your business name or supporters name associated with that player for the entire 2020/2021 season. Other perks include:

- 2 X Invites for the sponsors lunch at a fixture TBC
- Your name/company name/brand/website link will appear on the players’ profile page on the Taunton RFC website with a direct link to your website.
- Social media mentions with player
- Player available for photos with you and your business for marketing opportunities.
- Your name/company/brand will appear on the player sponsorship page of our ever popular match day programme
- PA announcements on match days in line with the player performance.

All final bids will be settled after the Auction and can be invoiced to you.

The Taunton Titans currently play in National League 1, Level 3 in the RFU structure. The team moved through the leagues to their current division when they gained promotion in the 19/20 season.

The Titans Head Coach is Tony Yapp, who has been at the helm since the 2011 – 2012 season and has built a great off field team. The forwards are coached by the experienced Chris Brown, with two player coaches Gary Kingdom. The off-field staff include the Strength and Conditioning coach Lyndon Lane, physios Adam Rutter and Jessica Jecketts.

The Titans train twice a week and the squad is made up of local players in the South West from both Somerset and near neighbours Devon & Dorset. The squad has been fairly consistent over the years which has enabled a lot of the players to earn over 100 league games for the club.

The Titans continual growth has led to several players moving on to play at a higher level with players moving on to play for teams in the Championship as well as some getting full time contracts and the chance to play in the Premiership with Exeter Chiefs, Bristol Bears, London Wasps and Harlequins.

Away from the rugby, Taunton RFC has some of the best conference facilities in Somerset.
