Tiffany Fonohema Kirkman King Fundraiser

This is an awesome online, silent auction for Tiff! All of the funds raised will go directly to Tiff, Moe and the kiddos. They need help with outfitting their home to accommodate Tiff's new needs, prosthesis for both her arms and legs, and medical equipment.

Tiffany (Fonohema) Kirkman King has had her life turned upside down in just 3 months time. Engaged to be married to Moale Fonohema, the couple shares 6 children together and they live in Springville, Utah. Tiffany is currently recovering from a quadruple amputations of both her arms and legs.

Tiffany was taking an immunosuppressant medication ,for a genetic arthritis, that weakens the immune system. She contracted a common cold, which turned into bacterial and viral pneumonia. She was hospitalized for a month, most of that time in a medically induced coma. During that time she acquired sepsis, a life threatening blood infection, which lowered her chance of living to only 15%.

To save her life the medial staff gave her a drug to help regulate her blood pressure. In turn the drug diverted all of the blood from the extremities to her major organs to keep her alive. As a result, her limbs died and she underwent a quadruple amputation.

At this point the medical bills, the cost of the prosthetics (which are not covered by her insurance), renovating their home to accommodate Tiffany’s needs and other necessary medical equipment stretches costs into the hundreds of thousands of dollars. It’s far more than Tiffany and Moe can bear financially.

This silent auction and online raffle are being held in honor of Tiffany and her family.
