Wishes for Vermont

Welcome to Wishes for Vermont, a fundraiser for Make-A-Wish Vermont. Thank you for your continued support. Even though our traditional Evening of Wishes has been postponed for yet another year, we are hoping this auction will allow you to keep supporting Vermont Wish children. Although the pandemic continues to prevent large gatherings, we can still “gather in spirit” to reach our goal of $10,000—the average cost to grant a Wish for a Vermont child living with a critical illness. As a result of COVID-19, fundraising is down by $200,000 this year, yet childhood illness has not diminished. Many children are waiting for that magical Wish and your participation in this auction can change their lives. Make-A-Wish staff and volunteers are still working hard to grant those Wishes. So, let’s bid high, bid often, and raise funds to make a child’s Wish come true!

The Make-A-Wish Mission states that “Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.” The Vermont Chapter of MAW grants approximately 40 Wishes per year. All funds raised in Vermont are used to grant the Wishes of Vermont children without any cost to the Wish family. A Wish can be a dream come true for a child living with a critical illness, and participating in the Wish experience has proven to be the best medicine for the entire family. A Wish can forever transform the life of a child, their family and our community.
