About Our Auction

This is our 8th Annual Winter Art Show featuring donated original works by local artists. In the past, we have used an object as the theme for the art show. These have included, "Buoy the Winter Blues", "Oars and Paddles", and "Wooden Boat Parts" - all of these which tied into the theme of the river. This year, all of us have immersed ourselves in the beauty and power of the natural world in times of crisis. Now, more than ever, finding solace in the beauty of art and nature, is crucial to our ability to endure. All proceeds from this art show will enhance our education, science and outreach programs. By hosting the show in our new headquarters, the River Center, we will be encouraging the community to experience all the new technologies we feature in the building. Please join the Alliance in celebrating the diverse ways in which our multi-talented artists share their love of the natural world!

About Westport River Watershed Alliance

The Westport River Watershed Alliance (WRWA) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) environmental education and advocacy group, formed in 1976 to protect and conserve the natural resources of the Westport River and its 100-square mile watershed located at the entrance to Buzzards Bay in southeastern Massachusetts. The Westport River watershed includes the communities of Westport, Dartmouth, Fall River and Freetown in Massachusetts, and Tiverton and Little Compton in Rhode Island. Our sole objective is to protect the environment we all share, and to assure that our children and theirs will be inspired to preserve this treasure as well. OUR VISION - A healthy watershed where people, wildlife and the River thrive.
