About Our Auction

Welcome to the AlgomaTrad Online Auction!

The auction raises critical monies for the Nicholas Missere Bursary Fund and AlgomaTrad programming. Your bids make a difference!

HOW IT WORKS:
Click on the green “View All Items” button to see the items. When you see something you like, there are two ways to bid:

EXACT BID: decide how much you want to bid for a ONE TIME bid, and enter that amount. If someone outbids you, you will get an email notice so you can come back to bid again.

PROXY BID: decide the most you are willing to pay for an item, and enter that amount in the proxy bid. The computer will do your work and enter your LOWEST ONGOING bid possible in order to keep you the winning bidder. If someone outbids you, your bid will be raised by the smallest increment allowed to keep you the winning bidder. If your bid reaches the amount you entered and someone outbids you, you will get an email alert so you can decide if you want to come back to bid again. This is a great way to keep current with the bidding without interruptions while you are busy having fun!

EXTENDED BIDDING: If an item receives a bid during the final 3 minutes of the auction, the bidding time for that item only will be extended for 3 minutes to allow additional bidding. If the item gets another bid within that 3 minutes, then bidding will be extended for another 3 minutes. This process repeats until no new bids are received for the item during a 3 minute period OR for a maximum of 30 minutes.

Whichever way you choose to bid, you will get emails to tell you if someone has outbid you (oh no!) or if you are the winner (yay!).

At the end of the auction, winners will receive an email from the auction site and further instructions from AlgomaTrad.

You can pay for your winnings by cheque or e-transfer.

THE AUCTION ENDS FRIDAY, AUGUST 18th at 10:30 PM so get your bids in before then!

Immense thanks to our generous and talented donors, and a huge thank you to all you great bidders! Your support is deeply appreciated.
Together, we can help AlgomaTrad shine.

Happy bidding and good luck!
