2017 Co-op School Scholarship Gala

Each spring some 400 Co-op School parents + supporters come together for our annual fundraiser. The Scholarship Gala is our biggest event of the year + an unparalleled evening of community, fun, + fundraising! YOU are an essential part.

In 2016, our mighty community raised $86,000 during the scholarship gala. This year's fund-raising goal is $100,000. Can we do it? Yes we can. How? By taking advantage of the family-friendly deals available through the silent auction online now and the live auction at the gala.

A monumental 100% of gala proceeds go directly to full + partial scholarships for current + incoming families applying for financial aid. Huzzah!

The Co-op School is an independent elementary school in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn. Our program focuses on inquiry-based learning where children ask questions and find their own answers – it builds confidence and a love of learning. We grew out of demand for better schools in the neighborhood and we use a cooperative model to keep costs down and be accessible for families. Part of our commitment to accessibility is our valuing diversity as it relates to race, ethnicity, gender, family structure, religion, sexual orientation, socio-economic class, physical ability, and learning style. We respect the individual and work together in our school community so that our kids are prepared to create an equitable world beyond.

The online Silent Auction closes at 10:45 p.m. near the end of our Gala. Until then, continue to bid on items from your phone or one of our on-site tablets. Bidding pros will be at the Gala to help set automatic bid increases (so you can set it...and forget it!) + more. Near the end of Silent Auction...it's time for the Live Auction: A high-stakes event for select, coveted items. Bring your enthusiasm + CVV; we'll provide the rest.
