About Our Auction
The auction of Daniel McDonald’s work Keeping is to raise awareness of and funds for Indigenous Australians living with a disability, particularly if they also identify as LGBT. The painting measures 1980mm by 1980mm.
"We are a long way behind the rest of the Aboriginal community in terms of access and inclusion in society. My aim is to showcase what we are capable of and to inspire others to start to close that gap.”
Proceeds will go to Drummond Street Services queerspace and Black Rainbow.

Drummond Street Services queerspace provides family support designed to meet the needs of all individuals, families and communities. Specifically, queerspace is an LGBTIQ+ health and wellbeing support service established in 2009 by LGBTIQ+ communities for LGBTIQ+ communities. queerspace has a focus on relationships, families, parenting and young people and offers co-located services across the north-west metropolitan region of Victoria

Black Rainbow is Australia’s first and only National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Queer, Trans and Intersex (LGBQTI) Suicide Prevention National Advocacy Platform and National Touchpoint. Black Rainbow supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander LGBQTI people who are homeless, leaving domestic violence relationships or the justice system. The organisation is 100% Indigenous owned and operated.
