Cabin Fever Fest - Beer-Pizza-Flannel

The Expeditionary School at Black River hosts this silent auction fundraiser as a means of providing gap funding necessary to operate the school for the 2024-25 school year. As an approved school, ESBR receives state tuition funding for students from sending towns (Ludlow, Mt. Holly). In addition, we accept students from other towns on a tuition basis and scholarships are available. The tuition does not fully fund the operation of the school, and it is necessary for the school to raise additional funds through donations and fundraisers.

Items for the auction are donated by area businesses and individuals from the community.

ESBR’s Mission is to educate students to be intellectually curious, resourceful, and confident in themselves for a life of personal fulfillment and civic engagement. We are committed to graduating students who are financially literate, embody strong habits of work, and are capable of solving real world problems. The Expeditionary School at Black River is based on the Expeditionary Learning Model. According to EL Education, “In an Expeditionary Learning School, students learn by doing long-term investigations of important topics that mirror real world challenges”. Our school is funded by a combination of tuition paid by the state for students who reside in “choice towns” and by private donations and fundraising.

Cabin Fever Fest - Beer, Pizza & Flannel, Sunday, March 17, 4-6 p.m. at Outer Limits Brewery, Proctorsville, VT. Tickets for the live event can be purchased for the discounted early-bird price through the auction site for $25.00. Tickets at the door are $30.00.
