Win a piece of history that benefits the Historical Society of Washington, D.C.! The Historical Society is proud to present "For the Record: Artfully Historic D.C.", an art exhibit about endangered historic sites in our nation's capital, as seen through the eyes of local D.C. artists.
Come explore the creative visions of local artists during the exhibit opening on April 22, 2015. The top 75 artworks submitted by local artists have been selected by a panel of local museum and art professionals. The top 5 winning pieces become part of the Historical Society's collections, joining other prominent collections of historic artworks about the built environment of our nation's capital.
The remaining artworks will be available for auction through this web page. The final "live" silent auction will take place during the Historical Society's 121st Anniversary Celebration on Wednesday, May 27, 2015. To learn more about "For the Record," to purchase tickets for the opening and closing events, or to learn more about other Historical Society programs, visit DCHistory.org/FTR.
