PCYC Learn to Sail Auction

Welcome to the 32nd anniversary of our pinnacle fundraising event -- the 2024 PCYC Learn to Sail Auction! This year we have the ambitious goal of raising another $60,000 for our Learn to Sail Program.

Last year’s auction was a testament to the unwavering dedication and generosity of our members, Learn to Sail families, and local community. Thanks to your generous donations we purchased a new Whaly coach boat, upgraded our fleet of youth boats with a new Zest, Opti race boat and C420, and acquired Quigley, one of our keelboats to support our Adult Basic Cruising program.

This year we’re setting a course to acquire additional boats including another Whaly coach boat, Zest, Opti prams, and sailing equipment to further elevate the sailing experience for our youth and adult sailors and maintain PCYC’s Learn to Sail reputation as a beacon of excellence on the lake.

Join us in person on Friday June 7th at the Port Credit Yacht Club to bid on the live event items and secure the final bid for your favourite auction items available on this website during the silent auction. Doors open at 4pm. Auction opening ceremony and Golden Ticket draw starts promptly at 6pm.

The Learn to Sail Program at PCYC is one of the largest in Ontario with over 250 sailors being evaluated each year. With a staff of 15, all aspects of your learning experince will be looked after.

PCYC is devoting an unprecedented amount of resources into renewing its fleet and facilities, to ensure your experience will be in a premier sailing environment. We are aware that the finest boats in the world are nothing without great teachers, which is why PCYC is committed to bringing together the best group of instructors each year to ensure you spend your summer becoming the best sailor you can be!

Thank you for participating in our online auction. The highest bidder for each auction item will transfer over to the PCYC Learn to Sail Auction in person at Port Credit Yacht Club on Friday June 7th. Friends and family of PCYC members and Learn to Sail program participants are welcome to join us. The more the merrier to support a great cause!

4pm Doors open, BBQ Starts & Silent Auction begins
6pm Welcome and Golden Ticket is drawn
LIVE Auction bidding follows immediately.
Post the LIVE auction bidding the silent auction tables will begin to close.
Please kindly note that only members may bid on reserved parking spots and should your golden ticket number be drawn, you must be a member to select a reserved parking spot.
All golden ticket holders must be in attendance in order to redeem their Golden Ticket or have someone in their absence selected to choose an auction item on their behalf or another number will be drawn.
