About Our Auction

Welcome to our auction!

This charitable event is in honor of our late friend, Judy Fridono, and her astounding Surf Dog Ricochet. Every dollar pledged to this auction will be used to support the construction of a bronze memorial sculpture in their memory which will serve to teach children, and adults alike, about the roles and importance of service animals and their handlers.

The sculpture as envisioned will be of Ricochet riding a wave on her surf board. The potential location of the memorial will be at Del Mar Dog Beach (also known as North Beach) in San Diego's North County.

Ricochet was a local surf celebrity who, along with Judy, raised over $1 million in donations through her non-profit, Puppy Prodigies. Those funds were used to "Paw it Forward" to various individuals and causes that were aligned with Ricochet's mission. To best understand Ricochet's story I encourage you to view her videos:

Please note that if you are not interested in any of the items up for bid, there is also a donate button that will allow you to contribute to this very worthy cause.

On behalf of Judy, Ricochet and the NSAM Ricochet Fundraising Committee, Thank You for your continued support of their "Paw it Forward" initiative.

About National Service Animals Monument Corporation

This event is focused on raising funds to potentially build the Surf Dog Ricochet Memorial at DelMar Dog Beach in San Diego California's North County. Ricochet was a Golden Retriever who was known and loved globally. She played a significant role in aiding and helping to heal and protect military veterans with PTSD and/ or lifechanging injuries as well as children and adults with various physical and/or mental challenges.

During her 13-year career Ricochet, and her Mom Judy, raised over $1 million in charitable donations through their non-profit, Puppy Prodigies. Those funds were used to "paw it forward" to benefit those who Ricochet surfed with.

The goal of our combined fundraising activities is to raise the $145,000 that will be required to sculpt Ricochet's Memorial. World-renowned sculptor of service animal monuments, Susan Bahary, is offering her artistic services at no cost, other than for the mold and casting costs. Any monies received beyond that goal will be forwarded to the National Service Animals Memorial, Inc. (NSAM) to build the Monument in Washington, D.C.

NSAM has created an educational program for teachers, students, and families across the country which spotlights the importance of America’s service animals and the vital assistance they have provided and continue to provide to our country.

The NSAM Education Program utilizes unique and innovative teaching methodologies including written, audio-visual, interactive, and tactile tools.

Within a historical context dating back to our country’s origins through modern times, students learn not only the dangerous roles of working animals (search and rescue, military, and law enforcement) but also of the importance of service animals who enhance the lives of persons with physical, emotional, and developmental disabilities.

This educational program promotes understanding and appreciation for the human-animal bond.
