About Our Auction
Welcome to our AUCTION FOR THE WILD, part of our annual WILD & SCENIC FILM FESTIVAL on November 18th (https://wildsight.ca/events/2023wsff-invermere/).
Much effort went into putting together this collection of items that reflects the Columbia Valley’s wellness, artistic and outdoor community. Thank you to all our friends and the businesses who donated items!
Your support helps Wildsight Invermere keep its environmental and educational initiatives going. Our current programs include promoting responsible outdoor recreation, focusing on climate change resiliency, restoration at Lake Enid, and the Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep conservation & biodiversity program.
While the fundraising aspects of this auction -- and the film night -- are critical, we believe that by bringing our community together, we strengthen our connection to each other and to this place we call home because home is more than a house with four walls. It’s a sanctuary for wildlife, internationally significant wetlands, sensitive grasslands, the source of the mighty Columbia River, and two mountain ranges that cradle our water towers. As our world becomes more challenged by climate change and human pressures, our home needs more care and attention.
Will you help make this year’s fundraiser our most successful to date?
