Bark For Life PEI - Jingle Bones

All funds raised will benefit Islanders as these funds are allocated to programs in Prince Edward Island.

In 2014, the Canadian Cancer Society-PEI Division brought Bark For Life to Prince Edward Island and, most importantly, to the East Coast of Canada for the very first time!

Bark For Life originated out of the desire of cancer survivors to involve their beloved pets in their fight. For so many people fighting cancer, their dogs are the ones who are always there - good days, and bad - giving them the quiet support and motivation they need to get through. As a dog lover, I'm sure you know how one look from your four-legged buddy can improve even the worst day.

Bark For Life presents an opportunity for people to celebrate their canine companions while contributing to the Canadian Cancer Society’s efforts to eradicate cancer and ease the burden for people facing the disease.

For many cancer survivors, their canine companions provided unconditional love, joy, security, and compassion during their cancer journey. For them, Bark For Life is an opportunity to celebrate their own victory against the disease, acknowledge their dog’s role in their life and raise funds to fight back against the disease.

For anyone whose life has been touched by cancer, the event is an enjoyable way to partner with their canine best friend to have fun, make new friends and fight cancer.
