Bids for Buds: 2017 FOPCON Auction

Mark your calendar for Bids for Buds, the Friends of the Oak Park Conservatory (FOPCON) online auction, October 6 to 29! Check back as we add items to preview before bidding opens on October 6.

The proceeds will support FOPCON events and educational programs, and help us fulfill a pledge of up to $100,000 to meet an urgent need at the Conservatory. The aging heating pipes are being upgraded and replaced throughout the entire complex. Included are the crucial pipes in the three glass houses where 3,000 plants, exotic birds and aquatic wildlife are nurtured and showcased.

A 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to promote interest in the Oak Park Conservatory, offer educational and recreational opportunities and support projects that benefit the Oak Park Conservatory.

In carrying out its mission, FOPCON offers numerous programs of interest to gardeners and nature lovers of all ages. FOPCON's activities are carried out by part-time staff and numerous dedicated volunteers who support the Conservatory by working in the greenhouses, providing operational support, conducting tours, and organizing and conducting educational programs and annual events such as the Plant Sale, KidsFest and Uncorked.
