2020 Online Purse Event

We will be offering 100 of our best purses in this auction to go to the highest bidder when the auction closes at 7pm on October 23rd.

The auction will have purses that are new, gently used, as well as sponsored purses.
Purses identified as new are new and others are gently used.

We have made every effort to exhaustively compare the value of purses against current market value and have set start bids at a fair and competitive rate. By participating in this on-line auction, you understand that you are supporting an important charity and that our best and reasonable efforts were made to ensure the quality and value of the purses as described. As a result, by participating, you understand that you will not hold the agency responsible for any perceived mis-representation of your purchase should you win the bid. This is our first time at this! Your support is invaluable to us.

To become a purse/bag sponsor in this auction: Buy a NEW Fabulous purse/bag or wallet and add a business card or sponsor name as well as a little gift inside the purse. Some examples would be treat the winner to getting their nails done, or a gift card to a local café, or restaurant! We will feature your Sponsored purse with your donor information. This can be done by an individual, business, or group to offer some fabulous bags to support a great local charity.

Due to Covid 19 we are not able to host the annual Purse Event in person, so we have made the decision to host the event as an ONLINE auction.

All proceeds from the online event support mentoring programs through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lanark County.

Since 1973 hundreds of men and women have offered friendship to local children. These volunteers are screened and receive on-going support and guidance from agency professional staff.

VISION

All young people in Lanark County realize their full potential.

Witnessing the transformation of a child into a confident, concerned and motivated young person is a remarkable thing. Ushering them into adulthood, seeing them grow into a successful, responsible member of their community and society at large is even more satisfying. Proudly, it’s something our staff, volunteers and donors help bring about every day, and we’re very grateful for their generosity and support.

Whether it’s in the form of time or money there is no more important investment we as individuals can make than in helping our nation’s children realize – and share – their full potential.
