About Our Auction
The National Association of Blind Students is constantly searching for ways to grow as an organization and impact the lives of more blind students across the country. This auction is an annual fundraiser that works to achieve this goal by providing us with the means to organize events and invest in the future of our membership. Bid on one or more of any of our auction items this year, and know that you are making a positive impact by funding blind students to attend seminars, Congressional meetings, and trainings that will empower them to live their lives with confidence, self-reliance, and purpose. A special and sincere thank you to everyone who contributed items for our auction. We also would like to thank our monetary donors: Tri-County Builders, The Schreiber Engel Foundation, and the Adaptive Technology Foundation.
About National Association of Blind Students
For over 50 years, the National Association of Blind Students has been a proud, innovative, and active division of the National Federation of the Blind. Serving as the largest movement of blind students in the world, we seek to empower blind students to live the lives they want each day through organized activism, mentorship opportunities, leadership development, resource sharing, and so much more! Funds from our annual auction have historically been devoted to sending students to our nation's capital to share their personal stories and advocate for blindness legislation with members of Congress, organizing student seminars where blind students can learn alongside peers from positive role models, and equipping our members with professional training in self-advocacy and leadership, which they can then carry over into all aspects of their lives. It is our sincere hope that, even in the pandemic, we are able to both continue in these efforts and stretch ourselves to achieve even more. We thank you for being an essential part of making these dreams a reality.
