Since 2011, local teams of belly dancers around the world create belly dance flash mobs each May and September to raise awareness of domestic abuse. The Durango Shimmy Mob team was established in 2016 and has since grown to be the largest team in the world out of over 2,100 teams in over 80 countries.

Your purchases will support Alternative Horizons, serving La Plata and San Juan Counties. Alternative Horizons provides support and alternatives to survivors of domestic violence and their families while striving to strengthen our community through education and prevention outreach.
