About Our Auction

2024 marks Spay Neuter Kingston Initiative’s seventh annual Paw it Forward online auction, we're so happy you're here! With the generosity of the YGK community, our goal is to help out with your holiday shopping by giving you a chance to #PawItForward.

All money raised goes directly towards the animals under the care of Spay Neuter Kingston Initiative. We are a 100% volunteer based non-profit organization, for more information on SNKI, please see below.

Keep checking in, since we may be adding more items! If you’re not sure what to get, take a look at donating towards the cost of a spay or a vet visit, feeding a colony cat, or helping the aging cats of Bath Colony. These items are available to donate* towards at ANYTIME, in return, after the auction, you’ll receive an electronic certificate that you can gift to a loved one! (*Donations of $25.00 CAD or more receive an official tax receipt).

About Spay Neuter Kingston Initiative, SNKI

To facilitate ways to reduce and eventually eradicate pet overpopulation. To improve the welfare of cats and dogs in the Greater Kingston Area by:

a. promoting and supporting the establishment and operation of a non-profit high volume spay and neuter service for dogs and cats using qualified veterinarian partners;
b. implementing education programs to make the public aware of the problem of pet overpopulation, the benefits of spaying and neutering their pets, the procedure, and the availability of the spay-neuter service;
c. assisting area animal shelters and rescue groups by providing reduced cost surgeries;
d. promoting the return of lost pets to their owners by sponsoring microchip clinics and other events designed to improve pet identification and the chance of owner and stray animal being reunited;
e. raising funds to spay and neuter the pets of low-income owners, based on the provincial standards of poverty;
f. promoting and facilitating Trap/Neuter/Vaccinate/Return programs for managed feral cat colonies through the Region, including reduced costs on surgeries.

In addition Spay Neuter Kingston Initiative manages the Kingston Community Lost & Found Pets Facebook page and has helped thousands of pets make it back home safe.
