2024 WE CARE Radiothon Auction

2024 is a leap year and on Thursday, February 29th, we, along with presenting sponsor Y95, invite you to take a leap forward with us in support of your regional hospital once again. And here’s why...

We are so excited to tell you that the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program at Yarmouth Reginal Hospital is expanding! All proceeds of the 2024 WE CARE Radiothon will be directed towards the costs of purchasing:
• 15 Patient Wrist Monitors and the Patient Data Management Platform for phase 1 of the new Cardiac Rehab program - $75,000
• 2 Echocardiography (ECG) units for Cardiac Investigations - $53,806

“Cardiovascular disease is one of the leading causes of death in Southwest Nova Scotia. This includes artery disease leading to heat attacks and congestive heart failure,” Dr. Brian Moses, Internal Medicine Lead, Western Zone. The current cardiovascular clinic at YRH can only handle 6 patients at a time, the aim is to increase this program to the Tri-County referral need of 250 – 300 patients per year.

You can play a vital role in this fundraising effort through supporting this auction -- and the 2024 Yarmouth Hospital Foundation WE CARE Radiothon itself. All funds raised from this online auction will be added to the Radiothon total and will support the launch of the new heart health program!
