ASF Awards 2019 - Silent & Calcutta Pre-Auction

This year the ASF Awards have decided to open bidding for our auction items prior to the dinner.

On this site you will be able to make bids on the items you wish to purchase. The site will notify you if your bid has been outbid so you can monitor your auctions.

At 1pm on Thursday 27th June 2019 (the day of the dinner), this site will close and the highest bidder on each of the auction items will be the opening bid at the dinner. The auction will continue at the dinner as per our usual auction boards and open cry auction.

There is an opportunity for people that can not attend the dinner to have our hosts manage your proxy bids for you. HOWEVER, THIS SERVICE IS ONLY FOR PEOPLE THAT CAN NOT ATTEND THE DINNER.

WHAT IS THE CALCUTTA AUCTION?
Each stock is put up for auction. The funds raised are pooled with 40% of the pool being the prize money. The stock that has had the largest gain from opening price 28th June 2019 to the closing price on the day of the Australian Stockbrokers Awards in June 2020 is awarded the prize money. The return is calculated in home currency. The other 60% of pooled funds raised goes to the Australian Stockbrokers Foundation to distribute to charities.

The foundation has access to a few multiple items so if you like one of these items you can buy the item now prior to the dinner.

Each year, over five hundred members of the stockbroking community come together to open their hearts (and their wallets) for those less fortunate than themselves.

The event is the largest annual gathering of financial services practitioners where stockbrokers and their firms are recognised for their achievements over the past year.

In 2018 we raised over $430,000 including sponsorship for our charities.​
