Braidwood Community Space

Our community space is a repurposed chapel that is 2500 square feet in diameter and 38 feet at its highest peak. As you can imagine the acoustics make it difficult to use with more than a few people. We are raising money for sound barriers to create a space that is accessible for everyone. Our plan is to share this space with the community. Some ideas..
• Gear swaps, staff get togethers, staff training etc
• Book clubs, quilt nights, cooking classes, Art/painting nights, Bridge club
• Movie nights, Kids crafts/March break activities
• Pottery or Art displays, learn a new skill (wood working0

Alternatives provides opportunities and outcomes for learning and skill development in the areas of employment, volunteerism, recreation, and community connections for people with developmental disabilities and other exceptionalities in Peterborough City and County.
