About Our Auction
Each year MESC plans a Spring Technical Session for our skaters and families. The purpose of our event is to bring Olympic level coaches and trainers to our rink to work with our young skaters both on and off-ice. The event provides our skaters an opportunity to gain a level of training and understanding of commitment in the sport that they would not otherwise experience. The day brings very intensive training for our skaters and nutritional education for their level of competitive needs.
Throughout the year Mountain Edge Skating Club plans seasonal social events to provide a break from the rigorous training schedules and build comradery within our club. We typically try to plan 3-4 social events each year in addition to our annual banquet.
Finally, Mountain Edge Skating Club hosts several test sessions per year at our home rink The Edge Ice Arena in Littleton, Colorado. Test sessions are sanctioned by US Figure Skating and provide our skaters the opportunity to demonstrate skills in front of US Figure Skating judges and progress through US Figure Skating test levels.
All of these activities come at a cost and that is why we hold an annual Silent Auction!
