About Our Auction

This limited edition digital illustration was created in hopes to bring more awareness to Black Breastfeeding Week sometimes in the black community there are different thoughts and narratives about breastfeeding. I wanted to share the natural beauty of Black Women who do breastfeed and for those that wanted to breastfeed but may not have been able to for various factors. I am uplifting those voices and women through this artwork.

A portion of this auction will go to Vital Village Network based in Boston Massachusetts an organization that works on uplifting the family and child bond.

Last year's goal was almost reached with your loving support we raised a total of $285 that went directly to Vital Village. Let's set the bar higher together!

Currently making available 3 limited edition prints for a buy now the value of $225. Don't want to buy the art right now, simply make a donation to support mothers and their infants.

11x14 professional archival print

This image is part of the Ultra Blackness collection of digital illustrations that draw upon urban pop culture related to the past and present. Instead of using just shades of browns to represent melanated skin tones the color black is used to emphasize rich cultural heritage.

Elements of hip-hop cultures and other styles that represented blackness have been highlighted but not exclusively. Focusing on moments to honor and uplift one another.

This work only touches upon some of the things that make being black beautiful because there is no one way to be or represent blackness.

About ZNT Arts LLC

ZNT Arts nurtures a safe space for healing, inspiration, and education across multicultural generations through the engagement of art as a catalyst to uplift BIPOC, raise funds for social justice, and educate our communities towards freedom.

She serves the Boston community as a teaching artist, curator, and arts education consultant. Her mantra is, Live and Let Art! So she speaks at workshops and panels on the topics of Art as a tool for self-care, and how to approach social justice and racism in arts education.

As an artist, I draw inspiration from many sources that I see around me related to being a black woman, motherhood, and simply my experiences in life. I am also impacted by everyday happenings, music, cartoons/anime, and pop culture. I don’t limit myself to one art form but my first true love is illustration and painting.

I use art as a tool to bring awareness to causes that are close to my heart. Motherhood is deeply embedded in my process of being an artist. I would not have found my way to this artist's life without the journey of motherhood accompanying me along the way. For that, I am immensely grateful and want to uplift and bring awareness to black mothers and breastfeeding it’s benefits that it has towards giving our children a great start in life through vital nutrition and bonding.
