100% of proceeds from our silent auction will be donated to The Candlelighters Ottawa; A local not-for-profit childhood cancer support program.

The vision of Candlelighters Ottawa is to ensure that all children and teenagers diagnosed with cancer receive the support they need, including financial, educational, personal, and survivor support. Coping disorders, family worries, missed education, literacy problems, and family financial difficulties are both common psychological and social effects of childhood cancer.

To enrich the lives of children, and their families, coping with childhood cancer, and to promote awareness and understanding of the impact of childhood cancer on their lives

Attendees are entitled to bid on as many things as they want in the silent auction. When the auction is over, the items are given to the person who put the highest bid.

Bier N Brez’n is an event being created by a team of students in the Algonquin College Event Management Graduate Program. We have partnered with Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Support Programs, which will receive the proceeds from our fundraising efforts. Candlelighters is a local, not-for-profit charitable organization that provides programs and services to young cancer patients, and their families, receiving treatment in the National Capital Region. Any funds raised will be donated to the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Support Programs.

All proceeds of the event will go to The Candlelighters Foundation, a not-for-profit organization based in Ottawa that supports families who have been impacted by childhood cancer.
