Bundled Up on Broad (Congregation Rodeph Shalom)

The hunger, poverty, and trauma of so many people at home and abroad can feel overwhelming. Bundled Up on Broad is a simple way to make a concrete positive impact in the lives of our food-insecure neighbors!

This drive puts warm clothes and other winter necessities directly into the hands of the food-insecure families who come to Breaking Bread on Broad (BBoB) each week.

For 2024, we are introducing this online silent auction of items handmade by our fabulous Knitzvot crafters and friends!!

If you win one of our gorgeous, one-of-a-kind items, every dollar will go straight towards mittens, hats, warm socks, and more for our neighbors who would otherwise have to face the winter with inadequate and outgrown clothing.

Bundled Up on Broad is co-sponsored by Breaking Bread on Broad (Congregation Rodeph Shalom's food pantry) and Knitzvot (RS's fiber arts Engagement Group). This is our second annual drive!!

When BBoB and Knitzvot launched our inaugural Bundled Up on Broad in 2023, we expected big things. But our extended Rodeph Shalom community STILL blew past our wildest expectations! Together, you donated more than 1000 pairs of mittens and gloves, 800 hats, 250 scarves, and 850 pairs of socks (plus more from the Joy of Sox!) for children and adults, plus 550 pairs of children's underwear.

This year, we hope you'll help us keep even more families warm!

The proceeds from this auction will go directly towards purchasing remaining registry items at the end of the drive. (In the thrilling-but-improbable-but-never-say-never scenario where we exceed all our basic goals, we do have some stretch goals in mind, like fleece blankets!)
