About Our Auction

Sid the 5-month-old pup, was saved by our rescue. Unfortunately, he has a severe overbite, but that is not the issue. The surgeon thinks he has severe trauma as a wee pup and it has impacted his jaw. He cannot open and shut his mouth, (very little ROM). SID has a very high rate of aspiration. He cannot be intubated, which means if he does choke he will die a very traumatic death. We do not know if the surgeon can help unless a CT scan is done which is $1800 plus $5000 plus if he needs a tracheostomy. This is the first step in possibly helping Sid.

About CB Rescue Foundation

CB Rescue is a registered non-profit dog rescue in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We are 100% volunteer based. We receive no grants or funding, Colin and Belinda float the rescue with their own funds, when needed.

Colin and Belinda started this rescue many years ago, really by accident. They were alerted to a Husky chained in Calgary, 2 years old, she had no human interaction, no walks and no love. They bought the dog from the owner and found her a wonderful home. That was ten years ago, she is now 12 years old. Belinda and Colin knew they could help others. They vacationed in the Dominican in March 2013 where they brought supplies and volunteered at a dog shelter (Collares Rojos). Belinda always said I would start a rescue if I had a million dollars. She soon realized all she needed was passion, drive and others who would follow her dream. The rest is history.

We partner with other reputable rescues working as a team for the greater good of the dogs, specializing in helping dogs that are in danger of abuse or neglect. We are dedicated to rescuing any dogs in distress no matter the location, age, breed, or ease of placement.

We place all of our dogs in loving, responsible and committed permanent homes. Placement of our dogs does not happen until we have undertaken our comprehensive adoption process which includes taking considerable care in finding a good family environment that matches the dog’s needs. Our adoption process also includes educating potential adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. We are proud to say we have a LESS than 1% return rate.

Animals in our care are spayed or neutered and receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment. We place the dogs in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. Our group remains interested in, and committed to, the welfare of the dog beyond the adoption process.

Finally, we strive to work with other reputable rescues and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless pets.
