Collector's Dilemma 2022
Someone’s dilemma is your opportunity. Find art to embellish your home, while engaging in the fun of an online auction in support of the Guelph Arts Council, a registered charity.
Step One: Make a Bidding Account
On the event website you will be prompted to create an account with 32 Auctions. This is a simple matter of typing in your name and email address. There are no security concerns and you can delete it after the event. You will receive an email to confirm that you are registered.
Step Two: Check out the Art
Once you’re registered you can look at the 30+ pieces that are up for auction. Click on “View All Items.” Each piece is identified in terms of the size, media and artist. They are all wall art, and most are modest in size, so you’ll be able to find a spot to hang them. When you see a piece that calls to you, don’t hesitate, the auction is a competition. Act quickly.
Step Three: Make a Bid
In the space provided, type the dollar amount that you would like to pay. It is okay to start with a modest bid. If someone else bids higher than you, you will receive an email so you can go one notch above. This ongoing contest is what makes the event fun. The auction ends May 12 at 8pm.
Step Four: You Win!
If your bid ends up being the highest the auction site will notify you by email. Payment is made through the 32 Auctions site using PayPal, which accepts debit, credit cards, and PayPal accounts.
Step Five:
Winners will be sent a form via email to schedule a pick-up. Please indicate if someone other than the auction winner will be picking up their item(s). If local pick-up is not possible, all pieces can be shipped at the buyer's expense and using a shipper designated by the GAC.
