CPAWS Yukon Fundraiser: Voices from the Wind River

CPAWS Yukon has co-hosted many canoe trips in recent years, all of which have proven to be a powerful way to connect community members to their traditional territories and tell the stories of the land and people. Many youth participants go on to become leaders in their communities and stewards for the lands and waters that have been cared for by their ancestors for generations.

This fundraiser is an opportunity to celebrate community while raising funds for future on-the-land trips with Yukon First Nations youth. Your purchases directly support the next generation’s connection to the land and water.

On Thursday, November 14th, 2024, CPAWS Yukon—together with the Yukon First Nation Education Directorate and the First Nation of Na-Cho Nyäk Dun—will be presenting Voices from the Wind River at the Yukon Arts Centre. We will premiere an impactful film following youth on last year’s canoe trip and celebrate Indigenous-led stewardship with special speakers, traditional music, and featured items from our online auction.
