Supporting Children with Special Needs

Proceeds from the auction will be used to support the Charles Webb Center (CWC), a program of the Disabilities Board of Charleston County. The CWC is a DSS Licensed Child Care facility focusing on supporting children ages 6 weeks to 10 years old with special needs. It is the only DSS licensed child care facility focused on supporting children with special needs in the Lowcountry. Proceeds will be used to fund a full time LPN at the Center, provide weekly music therapy, purchase educational and adaptive toys, provide educational field trips, serve daily hot meals and nutritional snacks and provide enhanced staffing.

This online raffle is in conjunction with the Avondale5K that is the sole fundraiser for the CWC. Over the past 13 years the A5K has raised over $500,000 for the CWC. Proceeds from the online auction will go directly to the CWC to support the full time LPN at the Center, to provide weekly music therapy, purchase educational and adaptive toys, provide educational field trips, hot meals and nutritional snacks and provide enhanced staffing.
