About Our Auction
As much as we’d love to gather under the big top for our big fall fundraiser, Cirque du Lake Park, we’ve decided to make it a live-streamed online event this year. You’ll still be able to party – in your backyard or maybe on your porch or patio – watching the streamed “Cirque du Lake Park – Live from the Lighthouse.” This year we’ll be doing Cirque 2020 from the historic North Point Lighthouse, our neighbor in the park. So it will be in the park, even though we can’t all be there together. Singer Robin Pluer will headline and host.
We hope to raise funds through this spectacular online auction and sponsorships.
This year’s fundraising theme is “The Year of the Tree”. And here’s why: Lake Park stands to lose 30% of its trees due to the Emerald Ash borer. Working with Milwaukee County Parks, the Lake Park Friends Nature Committee is crafting a long-term tree plan.
Lake Park Friends, a 501(c)(3) organization, relies on the generosity and support of partners like you to execute our mission to preserve, restore, and enhance Milwaukee’s Lake Park. The educational, cultural, and recreational events we present to the community are direct results of your support.
As a community, we are driven by how much we have achieved in the park and by the incredible, but exciting, challenges we must still address. This annual event is the centerpiece of our effort to protect and to grow what is the crown jewel of our parks system.
