For nearly 40 years the Clark Fork Coalition has worked to heal and protect the vital waters of the Clark Fork River basin. We remove pollution from the river and floodplain, restore water quality, improve aquatic and riparian habitat, revitalize creeks and streams, prevent new contamination, remove barriers to fish passage, improve water policies, defend clean water laws, and help people learn about and care for local waterways.

Our 14-person staff is based in Missoula, Montana, with a satellite office in Deer Lodge. We take a science-based, partner-rich, and community-focused approach to our work to ensure the waterways of the Clark Fork basin flow clear, cold, clean, and abundant, are restored from past harms, and are resilient in the face of emerging threats and challenges.
