Since 1993 Art Bias has empowered hundreds of artists on the Peninsula by providing them with the tools and resources they need to thrive. We provide affordable artist studios, professional development events and resources, exhibition opportunities, and a thriving community of artists interested in each others’ success.

Since its inception, Art Bias artists have been active in teaching and mentoring youth and elders in the community, and this year our arts education focus is re-energized. By bidding on this painting, you are helping to provide a high-quality art programs and engagements, such as:

- Frequent convenings for artists and the community, demonstrations and workshops, a place to experience, learn and make art

- A multi-year group mentorship program supporting the creative confidence of youth consisting of portfolio development, hands-on art making in a variety of media, field trips, and curatorial opportunities for underserved students at Sequoia High School in Redwood City

- At least one dozen Art Bias artists teaching a rich variety of art classes from their studios, such as oil painting, plein air landscape painting, Chinese brushwork, or floral arranging - we have all the artist experts under our roof

- Space for teaching, on-site classes for the community
