ETW X*mas Auction
Embracing the World (ETW), the Work Continues - Give the gift of love and compassion this Holiday season.
The ETW online auctions have always contributed to Amma's humanitarian projects across the globe. Through Embracing the World's compassionate projects, every penny you give directly transforms lives—providing sustenance, clothing, homes, and medical care to those in need.
This year the focus for ETW is on the relief and reconstruction work for the victims of the deadly landslides in Wayanad, a hill district in Northern Kerala. In the early hours of July 30, 2024, Chooralmala and Mundakkai villages in the district of Wayanad in Kerala were hit by devastating landslides triggered by torrential downpour. The fatality count is at over 420 currently, with approximately 200 people still missing. Property damage is estimated at ₹1,200 crore ($144 million) and around 10,000 residents were displaced from their homes. It is one of the most devastating natural disasters in Wayanad’s history.
On the occasion of Amma’s 71st birthday, on September 27th, the ashram unveiled a major disaster-relief initiative aimed at enhancing landslide resilience in Wayanad, Kerala. Amma has pledged an aid package of ₹15 crores ($1.8 million) to support the survivors and strengthen disaster response in the region. As part of this initiative, Amrita University will deploy its advanced landslide early warning system in Wayanad District’s most vulnerable areas, to protect people from the growing threat of climate-change-induced disasters.
We welcome you to support ETW’s efforts through your participation in this auction. Many unique and rare prasad items in all price ranges are being offered this time, just in time for the Holidays, the season to give with an open heart. Your support and participation are the key elements that bring together the resources, the hearts and the strength, to serve those in need.
The ETW auction is managed by the MA Center, USA. Proceeds from this ETW Auction will support various ETW projects. Please visit www.embracingtheworld.org to learn more about Amma's local and international ETW charitable projects and explore the myriad ways Amma's love manifests.

You may participate in the auction from any location in the world. To place a bid, register on the site by clicking on 'create account'. This will show up as soon as you select any item. Once you create an account, you need to be logged in to bid on an item. There are two types of bids in this auction: exact bid and proxy bid. An exact bid is executed at the time you enter the bid and just needs to be higher than the last bid. A proxy bid lets you set the highest amount you are willing to pay and then continues to automatically bid until that number is reached. No need to keep checking the site with a proxy bid. You will get an email notification only if that highest limit is reached. With exact bids, you get a notification every time you are outbid.
All pricing and bidding is in US Dollars. Payments can be made with any major credit card or PayPal. We will endeavor to deliver your item to you anywhere in the world, as soon as is reasonably possible after the auction officially closes at 11:45pm EST, December 9th.
Thank you for supporting ETW through your participation in this auction.
About Embracing the World
Embracing the World (ETW) is a global network of regional humanitarian organizations, inspired by the India-based humanitarian initiatives of the Mata Amritanandamayi Math. Embracing the World exists to alleviate the burden of the world’s poor through helping to meet each of their five basic needs — food, shelter, healthcare, education, and livelihood — wherever and whenever possible. We are especially focused on helping to meet these needs in the aftermath of major disasters.
Augmenting these efforts, we work in the fields of environmental conservation and sustainability, to protect the future of our fragile planet. Through Amrita University (www.amrita.edu), our researchers are innovating new means of delivery of goods, knowledge, information, energy and healthcare.
