About Our Auction

The Federation of British Columbia Writers (FBCW), incorporated as a non-profit society in 1982, is committed to promoting excellence and professionalism in the literary arts. Through a myriad of programs, services and publications that target craft, connection, and career we support writers at every stage of their creative journey. We advocate on behalf of the literary community and enhance opportunities for writers, by providing access through online program delivery, as well as in-person events. Our charitable organization, soon to be celebrating its 50th anniversary boasts more than 1,800 active members, and engagement with 4,000+ newsletter subscribers. In 2024 alone, we’ve presented 177 events, attracting approximately 4,730 registrants. This year, we are holding a first annual UnGala fundraising event to help our organization continue to thrive in order to serve the literary community as well as the public at large.
