Fastnet Film Festival Silent Auction

The Fastnet Film Festival have been gifted a beautiful landmark building in the heart of Schull, West Cork. A planning application has been submitted and this year we plan to make our dreams come true with the transformation of this beautiful building into a world class performance centre. This space will consist of a 120 seater auditorium with stage, a cinema, rooms for workshops, archives, greenscreens, editing suite and more.

Thanks to our incredibly generous supporters we have an amazing range of lots, from rare film memorabila to beautiful art pieces, all of which can be yours. We will be adding more lots in the coming days so do keep checking. HOW IT WORKS
Online bidding is open until 11pm on Friday 15th March. Bidding will continue at the live event starting at 7.30pm on Saturday 16th March (see below). Online bidders will have the opportunity to submit proxy bids (a maximum bid) prior to the end of the online auction. The value of proxy bids will not be disclosed to bidders at the live event, and incremental bids will be placed on your behalf but not exceeding your proxy bid. Online bidders are of course welcome to attend the live event and continue bidding in person!

We are an independent festival dedicated to bringing together established and first-time filmmakers in a forum to celebrate the short film. The Fastnet Film Festival takes place every year in the picturesque sailing village of Schull on the south-west coast of Ireland. We screen short films from all over the world and invite industry professionals to share their knowledge with our visiting filmmakers. Our commitment is to focus on the craft of filmmaking and to encourage an exchange of ideas, aspirations and expertise among established filmmakers, young filmmakers and those who may never have picked up a camera before.

The live event will take place on the 16th March 2019 in the Fastnet Film Centre, Schull, West Cork. Doors will open at 7.30pm with bidding starting at 8pm. There will be a €10 entry fee to include live music, wine, canapes, a raffle with a number of fantastic prizes and of course auction entry and registration. Guaranteed to be a great night! HOW IT WORKS ON THE NIGHT
All lots will start the bidding at the highest online bid received by 11pm on Friday 15th March. Online bidders who are not present at the event, may be represented through incremental proxy bids at the event. The highest bidder will win. Payment will be accepted on the night by card, cash or paypal. Winning online bidders will be notified on Tuesday 19th March by e-mail with payment instructions.
