About Our Auction

At Greenwood Forest Children’s Center (GFCC), we believe every child should have access to an early childhood education and are proud to be a community of learning and inclusivity. We seek to reach this goal through our scholarship program and the fundraisers that support it throughout the year. The scholarship fund has become even more important over the last several years as we see an increase in the number of families who need to partner with us for financial assistance for their child’s tuition. We are working hard to grow this fund so we never have to say no to a family who needs help.  Greenwood Forest Children's Center (GFCC) is a half-day, nonprofit, non-religious preschool program located in the greater downtown Cary area. Our school is a community of 180 children, 32 teachers and administrators, and countless families supporting the school through the GFCC Parent Council.  While we proudly operate on the campus of Greenwood Forest Baptist Church (GFBC) and maintain their same values of inclusivity and outreach, we are an independent program to ensure we are welcoming to families of all faiths and none.

About Greenwood Forest Children’s Center

Greenwood Forest Children's Center is a half-day private preschool program operating from September through May. We offer classes for children ages 1-5. We are proud to operate on the campus of Greenwood Forest Baptist Church and maintain the same values of inclusivity and outreach that are held dear throughout the campus. One distinct difference GFCC maintains from other church-based programs is our decision to offer a non-religious preschool program. GFCC believes in welcoming and celebrating families of all faiths and none. Our mission is to provide a safe, loving environment where children are able to grow in all areas of development. Our 4s and TK teachers prepare children for Kindergarten by keeping current with WCPSS K-readiness standards, while also maintaining the activity and play-based approach to learning that is found in all of our classrooms. All our teachers create a hands-on, interactive day that seeks to see children develop not only cognitively, but physically, socially and emotionally. We would love for your family to join our community. You are most welcome.
