About Our Auction
We typically spend every February teaming up with Hudsons Canada’s Pub to help bring you a one-of-a-kind evening in support of YWCA Harbour House and Amethyst Project. This year, join us online from February 12-14 to bid on one-of-a-kind artwork donated by some dear friends, who never cease to amaze us when it comes to supporting their community. All funds raised will still be donated to the YWCA Lethbridge Harbour House and the Amethyst Project to continue the good work they are doing in Lethbridge.
You'll notice every item has a minimum bid of $50. WHY $50? It costs the YWCA an extra $50, on top of government funding, to house one woman for one night at Harbour House. We are so appreciative to the artists who donated a work to this event, knowing that at minimum, every work sold will cover the cost of one night for a woman staying at Harbour House.

YWCA Harbour House – Women’s Emergency Shelter, is a 30-bed crisis unit for women and children who are involved in abusive intimate partner relationships. Harbour House families are provided accommodations for a maximum of 21 days, with staff available for counseling and support 24 hours a day. They provide the women and children with free education sessions on the impact of family violence on children; the cycle and dynamics of violence; and safety planning. This shelter turns away more than 2000 women and children per year which demonstrates the desperate need for a new facility.
The YWCA Amethyst Project allows sexual assault victims to obtain a rape kit, have access to community services for recovery, and choose whether or not to pursue the matter within one year while evidence is preserved, allowing them to focus on their own immediate needs before facing all of the challenges that come with the legal process.
