About Our Auction
In addition to art donated by friends of the Gibbes, this auction features original prints from Charleston’s Print Studio South, where a collective of artist members during the 1990s created in print mediums including silkscreen, relief print, monoprint, intaglio, lithograph, and photography. The Gibbes was the recipient of a collection of these prints at the close of the studio, which have been preserved for decades, with many of the artists in the meantime rising to regional prominence. Herein, you will find a beautiful, curated collection of original prints, created by South Carolina artists, along with a choice selection of original art given by our generous donors. Happy bidding!
