About Our Auction
The pandemic of 2020 has upset tried and true fundraising plans for nonprofits everywhere! The Jacksonville Historical Society's major fundraiser, Gingerbread Extravaganza, includes many new elements this year, including a silent auction. Join the fun to help this 91-year-old nonprofit maintain its valuable archive collections, including decades' worth of photographs from the Florida Times-Union and other local collections.
About Jacksonville Historical Society
Our mission is to educate and inspire the greater Jacksonville community to value its history, by fostering understanding of how the region’s past shapes our present. The Jacksonville Historical Society has been at the forefront of hundreds of projects that have led to the preservation of numerous historic buildings, promoted education and awareness of the city’s history, and expanded the Society’s Archives. As part of its advocacy role in the community, the organization has spearheaded the publication of six major books about Northeast Florida history.
