HALR Cat Days of Summer 2024

Kitten season is upon us with unprecedented force. Owner surrenders, abandoned cats, and sick animals are at an all-time high, leading to an increased need for rescues. Our adoption fees rarely cover the costs of spaying/neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, and deworming, let alone the incidental costs that arise. We strive to provide every foster cat and kitten with the same quality of care we would give our own pets.

As a charitable organization that receives no government funding, HALR relies solely on adoption fees, donations, and fundraising efforts to support our initiatives. 2024 has already been a record year for intake, sick cats, and costly surgeries. Unfortunately, adoptions are down while the number of cats and kittens in need continues to rise. It's been so overwhelming that we had to close intake during the busiest time of the year.

By supporting our Summer Auction, you will help provide care for the many cats and kittens currently in our care and enable us to reopen intake to help even more cats in need.

Home at Last Rescue (HALR) is a GTHA based cat rescue. We are a registered Canadian Charity that is 100% volunteer-driven. Our goal is to rescue cats from substandard living conditions and give them the loving homes they deserve.
