About Hands4Hope - Youth Making A Difference
At Hands4Hope - Youth Making A Difference, we are working to create a community of civic minded and socially responsible citizens for generations to come by inspiring and empowering youth in leadership and service.
Youth involved in Hands4Hope create and plan their own projects to support local charities and address unmet community needs and gain valuable experience and skills along the way. Youth participate in three ways:
- On-campus Hands4Hope Clubs at 14 middle and high schools from Folsom to Placerville;
- After-school Committees that focus on implementing a specific project, such as our School Supply Drive, Winter Boutique, and Emergency Food Pantry;
- Community Engagement Events to provide direct service through partner community organizations, such as preparing and serving meals to people experiencing food insecurity, peer mentoring youth with autism, or providing after school homework help to children in low-income housing.
