Hope for Orphans-Congo

For over twelve years, Hope for Orphans-Congo has had a front row view into the lives of orphans in the Democratic Republic of Congo. We have been privy to stories about children without money to pay the school fees, who snuck into the classrooms because they so desperately wanted to attend school. These children were run off by school headmasters. Where is hope for them? How will they ever get an education beyond what they learn in the streets?

This is where Hope for Orphans-Congo steps in. Canadians, like you, who are moved to lend their assistance to help orphans get an education. Several of the orphans, who have been sponsored since 2011, have graduated from secondary school and have attended trade schools becoming mechanics and tailors. Others have taken university classes and are now teachers.

Currently, we have 12 students attending university and 150 orphans attending primary and secondary school in Goma and several villages nearby.

How can you help change their future? There are several ways:

All funds raised in this auction will be used to pay the school fees for the second term of the 2023-2024 school year.

Hope for Orphans-Congo has been a Canadian registered charity since 2011. This charity provides the means* for orphaned children in the Democratic Republic of Congo to attend primary, secondary, trade schools, and university (cost is less than $1000 a year). Orphaned children have very little hope of ever attending school. Hope for Orphans-Congo brings hope to these children.

*includes: school fees, school uniforms, school supplies, and may include: food, lodging and transportation assistance, electronics when needed in trade school and university.
