About Our Auction

The auction’s goal is to raise funds to enhance the physical, mental, social and academic experiences of the Jefferson community through annual events such as High Interest Day, Teacher Appreciation Week and initiatives like the Kindness Committee and Equity Committee. The Kindness Committee began in 2020 during the pandemic and has continued to be an essential service for our students in the form of a food pantry, school snack supply, groceries during school breaks and winter clothing. The Equity Committee’s focus is to foster an inclusive environment in which students can welcome, learn about, celebrate and support one another.

About Jefferson Elementary PTA

Wauwatosa School District is a high achieving, forward-thinking, and richly diverse public school district serving about 7,200 students and families. Our educational community’s long history of excellence has been recognized both regionally and nationally. In 2017, the Washington Post named both of our high schools on its “America’s Most Challenging High Schools” list. The U.S. News and World Report has repeatedly recognized Wauwatosa East High School as one of the Top 25 High Schools in the state and our District has routinely “Exceeded Expectations” on state Report Cards issued by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Our District consists of 16 schools: 11 elementary, two middle schools, two high schools and the Wauwatosa Virtual Academy. Among our schools are two charter options: Wauwatosa Montessori and Wauwatosa STEM. We also offer a full STEM program at Underwood Elementary and at both of our middle schools. All of which offer robust parent choices when selecting educational opportunities for your child.

Additionally, our District provides the education for several county programs including Children’s Hospital, Vel R. Phillips Juvenile Justice Center and River Hills School which is part of the Milwaukee County Mental Health Center.

We believe relationships are at the core of the success of our students, teachers, and administrators. To achieve that success, our decisions are guided by our five-year strategic plan which focuses on:

Highly Effective Teachers and Staff
Continuous Improvement in Student Learning
Sound Stewardship of Resources
Community Relationships to Benefit Students
