Anvil Brand winter clinic/Injured Farriers Fund

Each winter clinic co hosted with & at Anvil Brand shoe Co. In Lexington, Illinois, the Land of Lincoln Horseshoers Association holds a silent auction of donated items to benefit the LLHA Injured Farriers Fund. We distributed stipends to those member farriers who may be injured and unable to work. In 2014 two members received help. The auction for 2015 will benefit long time member Vance Sterrenberg CJF who has been fighting cancer for the last 4 years. We all can put ourselves in his place as it could just as easily be anyone of us in the same situation. Vance has a wife Bonnie and a young daughter. Please contribute items to the auction or bid generously to help out a long time contributor to the association and AFA tester who has given freely of himself in the interest of farrier education and fellowship.

The Land of Lincoln Horseshoers Association is a chapter of the AFA. Together with Anvil Brand shoe company we host a winter clinic for farriers Feb 13-14, 2015. Our clinician this year will be multiple world champion farrier Steven Besne from Yorkshire, England. Each winter we host a silent auction to benefit our injured farriers fund. This year all funds raised will go to the Vance Sterrenberg Family.
