Leo Wardrup Memorial Cape Charles Cup 2024

Sponsored and organized by the Broad Bay Sailing Association (BBSA), the Leo Wardrup Memorial Cape Charles Cup Sailing Regatta will be held on August 9-11, 2024. This 2-day mid-distance racing event has been voted the best Regatta in the Chesapeake Bay for five years by Chesapeake Bay Magazine.
Through the Cape Charles Cup, BBSA has raised over $50,000 for Sail Nauticus, a nonprofit sailing school and community sailing center whose mission is to inspire, instruct and impact Hampton Roads kids through the use of sailing and maritime sciences. The Sail Nauticus Academy provides a life-changing experience for underserved youth in our local community. Through a partnership with Norfolk Public Schools, students are given the opportunity to participate in a program that promotes STEM activities, career development opportunities, life skills, and leadership through the sport of sailing.
